Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspect and assemble mirrors for the various product lines as assigned. Check machines, perform simple maintenance and clean lines and surrounding areas. Complete required paperwork. Perform line change-overs as needed. Perform duties of Material Handler/Assembly when necessary. Communicate and work to resolve problems with other departments as needed. Adhere to company policy, quality management system and environmental management system procedures. 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

-High school diploma prefered, GED equivalent bare minimum. 

 

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

Prior experience in assembly/manufacturing environment is preferred. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to print or write simple sentences and numbers legibly. Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally required to walk. Regularly lifts and or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision and to adjust focus. 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:

Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to vibration. Regularly exposed to moderate noise levels. 

 

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

Must wear appropriate protective safety gear when hazards justify their use. Must adhere to Environmental Management System requirements.
