Dayshift and some evenings available
8:00am-4:00pm; 5pm-9pm
Monday thru Friday with some Saturdays
This career opportunity is temp with intent to hire. After successfully completing the required 520 hours, you may be considered for permanent placement with the client company!
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) your responsibilities will include
Documents patient history and assesses chief complaints.
Reviews charts and makes entries.
Prepares patients and room for appropriate examination procedures.
Assists providers with exams and procedures.
Administers medications, injections, immunizations, and venipunctures as ordered by physician.
Handles all abnormal and normal laboratory test results according to protocol.
Provides individual and group health education instruction and information.
Mentors and acts as a resource for health services students and departmental personnel.
Provides appropriate patient care based on age-appropriate growth and development principles.
Assists in triage, handles patient inquiries, schedules appointments, and assesses patient complaints via telephone and recommends appropriate action, according to prescribed protocol.
Performs nursing assessments and develops health care plans for patients.
Performs basic laboratory procedures.
Makes referrals to the Registered Nurse (RN), supervisor, physician, or Advanced Practice Registered
Nurse (APRN) for situations requiring further intervention.
Cleans, stocks, and orders supplies for the examination rooms.
Cleans and wraps instruments for sterilization.
Serious candidates will have the following experience, skills, or education:
Possession of a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing OR Possession of a work permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Kentucky by endorsement.
