Job Description

Crown Staffing is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to fill an opening with a company located in Dayton, OH.

Requirements of the Maintenance Technician

-Must have a strong industrial maintenance background that includes both mechanical and electrical knowledge and experience.

–Strong mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills.

–Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with corporate policies, procedures, and work instructions.

–Willing to work as part of a team to ensure attainment of corporate goals.

–Must be willing to attend training and certification courses to gain additional skills and experience.

–HVAC certification is desirable.

–Electrical or electronics certifications are preferred.

–A minimum of 5 years of experience in the industrial maintenance field is required.

–A combination of experience and education will be considered when reviewing all candidates.

–Must be available to work overtime, nights, and weekends as dictated by job requirements. 

–Assist other maintenance personnel as required.

–Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurance.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician

– Ensures the efficient operation of building, machinery, and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on building, equipment, and related machinery to minimize unscheduled downtime of production capabilities, while maximizing the useful lives of the facilities and equipment.

–Efficiently and effectively responds to the malfunctions of machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure that production is able to resume as quickly as possible.

–Removal and replacement of defective components by deactivation and disassembly of all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

–While performing repair operations, review other equipment systems and components to determine what, if any, other procedures should be performed while the equipment is down.

–Minimize downtime of equipment and related machinery by executing preventative maintenance plans and schedules.

–Location of or fabrication of repair parts for equipment as dictated by needs.

–Works with external vendors and external repair and maintenance personnel to ensure the timely and proper repair of equipment.

–Other duties as assigned.
