Job Requirements

JOB DUTIES:

  • Perform process control checks, start-up checks, and operator maintenance checks.
  • Utilize factory supplies as required; perform material identification and use materials per VPI.
  • Perform process job and machine adjustments per VPI.
  • Participate in all training programs provided.
  • Performs all assignments safely, wears any required personal protective items, and always follows all safety rules.
  • Post daily production output, review weekly process chart, and maintain scrap and efficiency charts.
  • Execute die changes per schedule.
  • Notify team leader or Supervisor in event of problem.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs processes following standardized work instructions.
  • Reads, comprehends, and follows work instructions and established procedures.
  • Collects materials, tools, and/or equipment needed to complete processes.
  • Takes precision measurements to ensure fit of components/materials.
  • Aligns materials and assembles parts to build components manually and/or using machines/equipment.
  • Inspects each component produced to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensures all environmental (ISO-14001) policy initiatives and procedures are always adhered to.
  • Uses time wisely, works efficiently, and works effectively.
  • Looks for ways to improve the production process. Shares process improvement
  • ideas and aids in the implementation of continuous improvement measures.
  • Keeps assigned work areas clean, neat, and free from clutter. Assists in cleaning activities daily.
  • Takes instruction from leadership, cooperates with other associates, has respect for fellow associates, and functions effectively as a member of a team.
  • Understands the importance of cross-training. There are many different tasks associated with the production associate position. Various tasks must be performed daily, and associates are expected to be flexible regarding necessary changes in shift and work location/assignment as needed.
