Job Description

Experience authoring GHS - compliant SDS documents in the WER CS SDS authoring system or similar . Strong understanding of GHS SDS requirements, Strong computer skills and electronic communications skills. Experience in reviewing toxicology and related chemical safety data is a must . Experience authoring and updating SD S ' s based on various national, international and global hazard communicatio n s regulatory schemes.

Hazard Communication Sp ecialist / Quality Technician Pr eferred:

• 2 + years experience authoring GHS - compliant SDS documents in the WERCS SDS authoring system .

Experience in the Chemical or food regulatory field . Production, regulatory or environmental auditing experience. 2+ years in Quality Technician or Hazcom Specialist role a real plus. Critical thinking skills including problem solving , da t a analysis and effective management of priorities . Detail oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills .

Hazard Communication Specialist / Quality Technician Job Responsibilities:

Author GHS-compliant SDS documents.

• Act as t h e leading authority on Hazard communication in the organization , for suppliers , internally , and

customers. Maintain process fo r receipt , storage , and distribution of SDS ' s . Provide label review to assure legal compliance with GHS rules . Actively support the organization by leading the creation , up d a ting , and publication of accurate and compliant

hazard communications documentation.

• Participate in developing improvements to the different departments by helping to revise and implement

systems that will improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organization while reducing risks . Create and improve hazard communication training materials . Co nduct hazard communication training to individuals and groups. Assist in the maintenance of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001. Assist with internal audits .

  • Complete quality documentation (deviation investigations)
  • Ensure product meets quality control criteria
  • Communicate quality related problems to operations and quality supervision, and other necessary parties
