Crown Health is proud to accept applications for a Sonographer in Southern Indiana! This full-time opportunity is on the 1st shift pays $26 - $33 hourly, and is available immediately.

This career opportunity is temp with intent to hire. After successfully completing the required 520 hours, you may be considered for permanent placement with the client company! Once hired, you will be eligible for:

401K (company will match 50% of employee contribution)

Health Insurance - company will cover 75% of employee premium, 50% of family

Quarterly bonuses depending on facility performance (usually the equivalent of a full pay check, must be employed for 6 months for eligibility for bonuses)

Job Requirements

As a Sonographer you can expect to:

• Perform ultrasound procedures and related techniques, producing data at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner. 

• Identify, prepare, position patient, and competently perform procedure by using established ultrasound protocols or as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation or intervention, to achieve the highest quality image. 

• Ensure services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with facility guidelines and regulatory requirements. 

• Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. 

• Receive, relay, and document verbal, written, and electronic orders in the patient's medical record. 

• Corroborate patient's clinical history with physician's order and procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed independent practitioner. May also verify informed consent, if applicable. 

• Assume responsibility for patient needs during procedures. 

• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies.

• Maintain sonography equipment and report issues for repair.

• Provide education to patients, as well as students and other health care providers. • Perform ongoing quality assurance activities. 

• Assist in maintaining supply inventory. 

• Work under minimal supervision and in cooperation with other team members.

• Practice patient safety in accordance with the organizational, state and governmental standards.

• Assist in other areas of the department as needed, as well as other modalities as needed. 

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Required: • Ultrasound Technologist, (ARDMS)

Preferred: • Ultrasound Technologist, (ARDMS) (RVT)
