Location: Romeoville, IL

Essential Purpose of Position:

Responsible for safely moving full and empty trailers of merchandise as

directed within the Distribution Center property. Also picks up and delivers trailers between the Distribution Center and other company locations.

Job Requirements

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate the spotter vehicle to move trailers as directed.

2. On a daily basis, inspect vehicle for operational readiness and safety promptly report any issues that

need attention.

3. Perform all necessary procedure to secure trailers in the yard, including breaking seals and opening


4. Properly dispose of broken seals and assist in keeping yard clear of debris.

5. Secure kingpins on all trailers immediately upon unhooking trailers at dock doors.

6. At end of shift ensure that vehicle is ready for the next operator including cleanliness and fuel levels.

7. Ensuring that all paperwork necessary for transfers is complete and accurate.

8. Assist in physically unloading a truck at appropriate locations when necessary.

9. Assist in the organization of trailer storage in the yard and reporting any damaged or unidentified


10. Attendance in compliance with our Absence/Tardy policy is an essential responsibility of this position.


1. Must have a valid CDL-Class A license with DOT certification and airbrake endorsement with

excellent MVR.

2. Must have experience with moving trailers and containers within a confined area.

3. Must have previous experience in operating tractor/trailer equipment in heavy traffic patterns.

4. Must be accurate with great attention to detail.

5. Must have a 'team' oriented disposition and be able to work with others.

6. Must have good communications skills both written and verbal.

7. Must have a professional demeanor and be willing and able to work well with others.
