Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

 

High School diploma or equivalent; degree preferred.

2-4 years experience in Tool & Die/Jig & Fixture in a manufacturing environment.

STRONG working knowledge of tool and die development. 

Strong ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.

Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Experience in Tier 1 Automotive a plus.

Support plant's commitment to both internal and external customer quality.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Troubleshoot die and press issues and make supervisor aware and assist in resolving.

Build, rebuild and repair progressive, tandem line and transfer dies. 

Ensures that issues and repairs are addressed accurately and timely for continued production.

Operation of CNC and other conventional tooling machines.

Read and understand blue prints in order to develop and create tools and dies to meet the specifications and needs of internal and external customers. 

Confirms performance of die by installing die, inspecting operation of die, making adjustments and comparing finished product to specifications.

Die assembly.

Measure parts to specification and has a basic working knowledge of GD&T.

Conduct preventative maintenance on all tools and dies.

Maintains a clean and safe work area; cleans work area at the end of each shift.

Follows all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.

Promptly and accurately addresses the needs of both internal and external customers. 

Keeps supervisor and other team members informed of progress, issues and/or concerns.

Promotes and maintains a positive team environment.

Work with other team members, supervisors and/or members of management to resolve departmental or company-wide issues and to implement new programs, procedures or policies. 

 

Effort/Physical Demands:

 

Manual dexterity.

Ability to see small writing up close.

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to reach, lift, grip, crouch, stoop and bend.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to walk distances throughout shift.



Health and Safety Responsibilities:

 

Complete and abide by Health and Safety policies and procedures

Compliance with all OSHA regulations

Ensure training and compliance of all company Health and Safety training and OSHA regulations

Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in the form of long sleeve shirts/pants, ear plugs and safety glasses and any additional PPE that may be required for a specific task.  


Hand and arm protective equipment is required when handling sheet metal.
