Job Description

This is a first shift position, located in Council Bluffs, IA. The hours are, Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with occasional mandatory overtime. 


  • Experience in manufacturing (assembly line, production of goods) is desired.
  • Experience working with chemicals 
  • Manufacturing production and equipment operations experience desired.
  • Manual mechanical aptitude and dexterity desired.
  • Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and ratios required.
  • Basic computer skills required for training.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 60 lbs unassisted. Must be able to work in a production setting, and be able to stand for a prolonged time. Exposure to chemicals, foam, and latex.
  • Able to read and understand a tape measure.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to learn

Job Requirements

  • Maintain chemical levels in the new chemical storage area
  • Operate chemical process systems and related equipment
  • Perform TPM's for chemical processing line, bulk chemical inventories, chemical laboratory reagents inventories
  • Maintain bulk chemical and laboratory supplies inventory
  • Support plant operations with chemical engineering expertise
  • Assist in management of chemical inventory
  • Maintain chemical, equipment, and productinventories
  • Perform various lab chemical functions for assigned area
  • Ensuring compliance of all equipment utilized for chemical analysis
  • Conducting routine chemical analysis and services to ensure conformance to key chemical treatment parameters
  • Perform weekly audit of chemical crib
  • Set up and conduct chemical laboratory processes in support of chemical development and solvent recovery operations
  • Analyze the technical chemical data, chemical hazards, and toxicology information
  • Assist with the conversion to the new chemical tracking system
  • Preparing chemical standards for use in analytical testing
  • Perform all aspects of the chemical process cycle
  • Operate a forklift and repair chemical pumps
  • Perform troubleshooting of equipment related to the chemical processes
  • Perform the chemical solution additions and rejuvenations
  • Deliver, track, and maintain hazardous materials for all designated chemical holding areas
