Job Description

The hours for this position are 3rd shift 10p-6:30a. This is a full time permanent position. Salary is negotiable and will depend on experience.

Responsible for managing areas of the distribution center to ensure all functions of the operation are executed in an accurate, timely and cost effective manner.

  • Plan, coordinate and manage the processing flow of different departments to meet goals and maintain quality and cost effectiveness
  • Oversee and supervise shift associates assigned in their respective work area. Train and develop leadership and associates in their respective assignments
  • Research errors, trouble shipments, and resolve pending issues. Monitor and maintain inventory corrections.
  • Effectively communicate staff coordination between the day and night shifts to set clear expectations and prepare the day shift for the next day’s workload
  • Develop and foster a mindset that focuses on continuous improvement activities to create and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external customers (merchants and stores) to prevent and quickly resolve issues
  • Carry-out other duties as assigned and maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • High School Diploma, GED
  • Some college highly preferred

Job Requirements

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and/or Training:

  • 1-3 years experience in retail distribution center management and logistics
  • Able to change to meet business needs quickly
  • Experience leading/managing multiple teams. Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead others towards the accomplishment of Distribution Center objectives
  • Ability to balance competing priorities effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Able to analyze situations and determine best course of action without adverse impacts to business
  • Able to communicates well
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to establish/build strong partnerships within a distribution environment
  • Solid working knowledge of Merchandising and Warehouse Management Systems
  • Must be able to work 40+ hours per week including evenings and weekends when required. Be able to work as assigned by the Manager and able to complete repeated assignments independently. Must be able to work in the DC environment which includes standing for long periods, stooping, squatting, kneeling, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
