Our client is a leader in producing high-quality, responsible packaging for a variety of food, beverage, pharmaceutical, medical-device, home and personal care products.

This company is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic with experience in plastic manufacturing. These are temp to perm opportunities. Pay will start at $25.00/hour.

These are 12 hour night shifts that run 6:50pm-7am on a rotating schedule. Must be available to work weekends.

What will you do:

-Performs general maintenance and preventative / predictive maintenance on a variety of blowmold and injection, auxiliary and plant support equipment.

-Trouble shoot, perform preventative maintenance and complete necessary mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic repairs

Minimize downtime due to breakdown repairs and PM’s as well as optimize the quality of products manufactured to the highest degree equipment is capable of producing.

Job Requirements

What you must have:

-3+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance mechanic role

-2+ years of experience in plastic manufacturing

-Ability to read electrical schematics and identify symbols and control circuit. Includes ability to understand and trouble-shoot PLC program and logic

-Ability to trouble-shoot electrical circuits

-Must be capable of working on the installation of PLC’s, change motors, install relays and starters, and install control circuits

-Ability to read hydraulic schematics and identify symbols and control circuits

-Ability to troubleshoot a hydraulic circuit

-Must be capable of working on equipment to repair, change or upgrade the status of equipment

-Must be able to meet physical requirements including:

Lift / push / pull up to 1000 pounds 50 feet using a hydraulic hand jack (this is the equivalent of a static push / pull of approximately 70 pounds), bend, turn / twist, kneel, squat, crawl, climb, reach out and up

Maximum frequent lifting weight of 75 pounds and Occasional frequency of lifting up to 100 pounds

Employees are required to stand / walk for up to 11 hours per shift on a concrete floor.

Employees are required to bend; turn / twist; kneel; squat; crawl; climb; reach out and up; turn wrist; grasp; pinch; and have finger manipulations.

-Must be able to work 12-hour shifts day or nights, including weekends and holidays.

-High school diploma or graduate of vo-tech program preferred
