Crown Healthcare has a Full-Time LPN opportunity in a faith-based long term care facility in downtown Louisville. This is a temp to hire opportunity with a 90 day 520-hour transition structure. Crown Healthcare is seeking candidates that are available to work 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM with a weekend rotation. The ideal candidate is committed to making a difference in the lives of those they are privileged to provide care for.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse you will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients. You will also provide on-site training and mentorship to the CNA's working under your daily supervision.


Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled residents

Comply with current patient treatment plans initiated by the physician

Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior promptly for assessment and treatment

Communicate with LTC facility physicians or specialists regarding patient care

Educate CNA's about health maintenance and disease prevention

Facilitate appointments, PT and OT for residents

Maintain accurate patient medical records daily

Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

Job Requirements


Must possess an Associate or Bachelor degree in Nursing and a valid Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or a Nursing Board in the 'Compact State Agreement'.

Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields preferred but not required

Familiarity with medical software and equipment

Ability to build rapport with patients

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
