Job Description

Crown Services Healthcare has RN opportunities available at one of our Long Term Care facilities in the heart of Louisville, Ky.

As an RN in a Long Term Care Facility, you have the opportunity to monitor residents, develop patient care plans, implement treatments and provide guidance to both the support staff as well as the residents themselves. You will be responsible for providing direct patient care with compassion and in a manner that respects the resident's dignity and privacy.


Hours:

Day 6:15a-645p

Second Shift- 215p-1045p

Evening 6:15p-6:45a

Job Requirements

  • Suggest referrals to wound care consultant or wound care center
  • Accompany wound care team on weekly skin/wound rounds
  • Utilize acquired wound care skills
  • Preparing, wound care cases
  • Compile weekly wound statistics for monthly wound report
  • Develop comprehensive wound management plan and assist staff in wound care
  • Deliver patient care/treatment to accomplish wound care tasks
  • Provide comprehensive wound care management to patients
  • Perform wound care and other services
  • Register new wound care and hyperbaric patients
  • Ensure optimum patient care delivery in wound care nursing procedures
  • Participate in wound care rounding, wound care committee meetings and quality council
  • Reschedule wound care and hyperbaric appointments
  • Provide staff education related to wound care
  • Educate staff on wound care prevention
  • Assist physician with wound therapy
  • Conduct weekly wound care assessment/documentation updates
  • Serve as a primary wound care educator for patients / families with wound care issues
  • Ordering wound care supplies needed to provide wound care according to current best practice standards
  • Provide consistent quality wound care for home health patients
