** A Company in Milwaukee is looking for a skilled Machine Maintenance Mechanic for production equipment **

- Setup, maintain & repair a variety of plant production equipment

- CNC experience is huge plus  

- Experience in a manufacturing environment 

Job Requirements


• Alter/upgrade machines and build simple machines for internal use in manufacturing operations.

• Diagnose the nature of a problem, disassemble equipment, replace worn or defective parts and

components such as motors, bearings, shafts and belts, rebuild unit, test operation and make final


• Perform some trouble-shooting on machinery and make necessary repairs when needed.

• With safety personnel, proactively address safety issues, including door switches, trip devices, light

curtains, guarding, etc.

• Monitor, maintain and service compressor and dust collection equipment.

• Maintain and repair building, inspect and service electric controls and replace defective components as


• Perform plumbing and welding maintenance activities as required.

• Perform basic building repair and maintenance.

• Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.

• Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas.

• Remove and replace worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system.

• Grease, vacuum, clean and wash machines and necessary machine parts to ensure safe and continual


• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities throughout the plant as required, oil and lubricate

equipment and change fluid and filters as required.

• Maintain written record of repairs and PM's.

• Assist with the fabrication of parts as needed for repairs as feasible.

• Assist R&D with projects

• Diagnose and repair electrical equipment. Perform some trouble-shooting and make necessary repairs

when needed.

• Report deficiencies of replacement parts and maintenance supplies.

• Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.

• Perform other duties and/or functions as assigned or required to ensure Company success.

• Minimum Intermediate level in lockout/tag out procedures

• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and

procedure manuals

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and utilize technical information

Other Qualifications

• Previous knowledge of set up experience

• Perform Lockout/Tagout as needed

• Use hand power tools, machine tools, drill press, grinder, sander, gas and electric welding equipment,

scissor lift, forklift and hand trucks, acetylene torch and a variety of hand tools.

• Must be a self-starter, organized, team player, self-motivated

** Education AND/OR Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
