Job Description

Crown Services Healthcare has Medical Assistant opportunities available at a pain clinic in Downtown Louisville. We offer weekly pay and healthcare benefits after 30 days! This is a temp with the intent to hire opportunity with our goal being long-term permanent placement. This position does not require certification but proof of Medical Assitant schooling and 5-10 years working in the field is required.

Our Medical Assistants are cross-trained to perform administrative (front-desk) and clinical duties.

Hours M-F, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Overtime required as needed


*MA Certification preferred but not required.

*Efficient typing skills (45-60 net words per minute)

Medical Terminology

E MR Experience (Ability to quickly and accurately type doctor notes into EMR as doctor dictates during patient evaluations.)

*Great Attendance

*Highly proficient with computers especially: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, KASPER, INSPECT, and EMR Software.

*Enjoys working face to face with patients and team members with a positive attitude

Job Requirements

Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to):


*Triages interviews Patient and completes designated areas of EMR

*Provides patient information to Provider prior to Patient Evaluation

*Introduces Patient to Provider

*Enters all pertinent patient information and notes in EMR software

*Scans all applicable Patient paperwork and uploads to EMR

*Prepares Eval Rooms and Procedure rooms for Patient encounters

*Cleans Exam Rooms and Procedures rooms post Patient encounters

*Assists Patient during check out and to their vehicles if necessary

Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to):

- Taking medical histories

- Explaining treatment procedures to patients

- Preparing patients for examination

- Assisting the physician during exams

- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens

- Performing basic laboratory tests

- Instructing patients about medication and special diets

- Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician

- Transmitting prescription refills as directed

- Drawing blood

- Taking electrocardiograms

- Removing sutures and changing dressings

- Scheduling Follow-up Visits
