Job Description

Hands-on plastic injection maintenance technician

• Experience with Hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems

• Able to diagnose, trouble-shoot, repair, and maintain plastic injection molding machines and other equipment, such as air compressors, chillers, and granulators.

• Stable work history, with at least 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician in injection molding

• Problem solving and critical thinking

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

• Ability to continuously use hands, arms and legs, and ability to move the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials.

• Ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours, and to lift and maneuvering up to 50 lbs. repeatedly without physical restrictions

• Ability and willingness to follow directions and to work independently

• Good verbal communication skills and ability to keep record of materials worked

• Positive attitude and ability to work well with others

  • Perform mold changes and maintenance of molding machines
  • Set up and clean injection molding machines and grinders throughout the production run
  • Set up injection molding machines
  • Processing and troubleshooting all plastic injection molding machines
  • Ensure manufacturability of injection molds
  • Shut down (injection molding machines and conveyors)
  • Worked on or released to the floor
  • Prepare injection molding machine and operator workstation for operation
