Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the development, launch and maintenance of the Quality Operating Systems in order to meet or surpass quality levels of the IATF-Technical Specification ISO/IATF16949 international standard and associated customer specific requirements (CSRs).

  • Review of Documented Processes (key procedures) per ISO/TS 16949 and CSRs, against the reports as indicated in the Internal Audit Process in an effort to develop an in-depth audit plan.

  • Assist the development of the quality systems within all departments (at all levels) by completing scheduled Quality system audits in the pursuit of continuous improvement

  • Lead cross-functional meetings & facilitate teams as needed in the preparation and execution of effective quality audits and layered process audits (LPAs).

  • Responsible for coordinating and chairing Internal Systems Audit meetings

  • Maintain any Non-conformance tracking from systems audits and realization of corrective actions with Department Managers as per ISO/TS requirements, as part of the follow-up activities required. 

  • Assist in the preparation of the surveillance of 3rd party quality systems audits to maintain certifications.

  • Lead audits and follow-up with open issues respectively in the pursuit of World Class Manufacturing standards and corporate office requirements as part of the validation process. 

  • Identify Customer specific requirements (CSRs) as referenced from ISO/IATF 16949 requirements.

  • Present relevant open issues from internal audits to Department Managers.

  • Actively participate in presentations to management and the customer as required.

  • Be a member of cross-functional teams to focus on problem solving and continuous improvement and complete action plans as delegated by the team.

  • Ensure all incidents are properly reported and investigations are completed within time frames provided in the corporate standard for corrective actions.

  • Assist in development of Turtle Diagrams, QOS system requirements and potential changes to the standards. 

  • Decision Making Quality: stop production when Quality is in question


  • Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Employee Handbook

Physical Demands:

  • Constant communication with employees, peers, and management

  • 60% plant floor 40% office

 

Health and Safety:

  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and procedures

  • Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company

Job Requirements

Serious candidates will meet the following qualifying criteria:



  • ISO/IATF16949 Lead Auditor qualification or equivalent

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality and process control in automotive manufacturing

  • Microcomputer software training
