Qualifications:

  • This person will drive and oversee the proper and efficient use of work center resources.

  • Set the pace by expectation and example.

  • Lead and direct workforce to meet adherence to daily work schedule.

  • Exhibit an exemplary sense of urgency and discipline in meeting the needs of customers (Internal and external).

  • Train and mentor associates (including assist with associate development).

  • This position requires close collaboration with other operations departments, Materials, engineering, and quality.

  • Provide leadership that drives continuous improvements.

  • Assist in the development of a flexible workforce through cross-training.

  • Strict quality compliance enforcement.

  • Understand and demonstrate production standards (Welding, Shear, Forming, Assembly, Electrical, etc.).

  • Work in full compliance with safety regulations.

  • Lead and/or support area process improvement efforts.

  • Report production.

  • Ability to locate and print out drawings for departmental use.

  • Ability to utilize the MSR system for materials required for production.

  • Ability to use Syteline to pull up reports and department schedules.

  • Ability to read specification sheets and drawings (blueprints).

  • Basic Computer aptitude.

  • Demonstrate and hold teammates accountable for professional behavior

Job Requirements

Shift Leadership Expectations

 

  • Daily communication with 1st shift leadership to ensure necessary task work is completed each night.

  • Safety and Security:  Ensure that the facility is locked tightly and all alarms are set each evening.   Monitor facility and grounds to deter any unwanted visitors on our property. Call authorities when warranted.

  • Responsible for productivity metrics for all teammates.

  • Fully lead all work cells including, but not limited to:

    • Paint

    • Decal

    • Grief

    • Facility maintenance

    • CI fabrication

    • Materials

    • Sub-assembly at KTM

    • Assembly assistance if needed.

  • The beginning shift size will be a total of 4-7 people.

 

This Shift Leader position has a direct growth opportunity into a supervisor position when the shift size warrants additional leadership.

  • Excellent attendance and work record.

  • Strong analytic / Problem Solving skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Be in good standing with documented excellent performance
