A hospitality management group is looking for an experienced Cook in the Palos Heights area.
The schedule will run 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. Pay will start at $15/hour.
What will you do:
-Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
-Prepare food items according to established batch recipes and menus in a manner in which preserves food freshness, quality and appeal. Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service
-Prepare and cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
-Utilize safe food handling techniques at all times. Store food items according to established standards of practice; utilize proper labeling and dating. Hold prepared food items at appropriate temperatures
-Maintain production records (food usage, overages, shortages, customer counts, etc.) and established logs (food temperatures, cooling temperatures, cooler & freezer temperatures, etc.)
- Maintain a safe, tidy and well-organized work environment at all times
-Ensure that all food and meals are prepared and served for customer satisfaction

What you must have:
-2+ years of experience as a Cook and/or Line Cook
-Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
-Culinary school diploma is a plus!
-Ability to comply with pre-employment background requirement
-Reliable transportation
