Crown Services Healthcare is proud to accept applications for a Licensed Practical Nurse in Somerset, KY! This full-time opportunity is available for second shift, 2:30pm-11pm, with a one-hour lunch, on a variable schedule with alternating weekends, pays $16+ per hour, and is available immediately! Candidates may choose to work 3 days per week at 12.5 hours per day or 5 days per week at 7.5 hours per day.

Shift differentials are $.60 for the second and third shifts, plus an additional $1 per hour on weekends.

Serious candidates will have the following experience, skills, or education:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse diploma.

  • Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or a state Nursing Board in the “Compact State Agreement.”

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable operating transportation and proof of current auto insurance.

Job Requirements

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you can expect to:

  • Perform nursing delegated duties in the care of ill or injured residents. 

  • Prepare, administer, and chart medication. 

  • Perform medical treatment instructed by the physician. 

  • Give injections, administers G-tube feedings and care. 

  • Accept and account for drugs and equipment. 

  • Explain medication purposes, dosages, and possible side effects to residents and others. 

  • Follow residents' self-administration of medication programs as outlined. 

  • Keep general administrative operations records as required. 

  • Gather preliminary medical information from the resident for the physician.

  • Report unusual incidents with staff or residents. 

  • Schedule residents to see the physician and assist the physician in examinations. 

  • Take temperatures, pulses, and respiration and records on residents' charts.

  • Provide first aid for minor injuries. 

  • Attend in-service training programs and participates in drills for and responds to facility emergencies.
