Job Description

Crown Services in Shelbyville, Kentucky is proud to accept applications for a Quality Assurance Technician! This full-time opportunity is on first shift and pays $18 an hour to start.

1. SUMMARY:

-Acts as a technician in Quality Assurance inspecting material, received components, finished products, and work in process to insure conformance with customer requirements, internal quality plans, and government specifications. Specific duties and job elements may vary per plant site.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Assist with process capability measurements.

-Participate on problem-solving teams.

-Have a working knowledge of quality records systems.

-Ability to use and know the principles of digital calipers and digital micrometers.

-Perform basic first piece/article inspections.

-Ability to read and interpret basic RFC and customer drawings.

-Ability to perform Rockwell hardness testing.

-Participate in CI team.

-Demonstrates basic computer skills, knowledge, and to submit data.

-Perform calibrations of simple mechanical or electrical controlled gages and equipment.

3. QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:

-High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:

-To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Word.

Other Skills and Abilities:

-Time management, organizational skills, team player with also the ability to work independently, good communication skills.
