The Quality Technician will utilize quality measurement tools and methods to inspect and document machined parts and welded assemblies.
" Carry out quality inspection of machined components and welded assemblies utilizing handheld gages and computerized inspection equipment (Faro arm and CMM = Coordinate Measurement Machine)
" Provides machine operators with documented comparison of parts to print
" Assist in training of new employees use of gages and other measuring devices
" Performs receiving, first piece, in-process, and final inspections as required
" Initiates and/or completes required documentation logs or paperwork
" Communicate with operators on the shop floor, management, suppliers, and customers
" Support gage calibration processes
" Perform appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor
" Maintain a safe and clean workspace
" Follow established safety rules, work instructions, policies and regulations
" Some travel may be required
JOB SKILLS
" Experience in quality assurance concepts and the use of quality checking instruments including hand gages, micrometers, indicators, bore gages
" Ability to calibrate and adjust basic gauging equipment
" Knowledge of CMM software and language commands
" Able to accurately read blueprints and understand GD&T principles
" Strong working knowledge of machining and welding processes for ferrous metals
